Welcome to CARE Centre’s Multi-lingual Media Site. View and share introductory videos spoken in the languages of CARE Centre’s main IEN client groups!
Since its founding in 2001, CARE Centre for Internationally Educated Nurses has supported over 1,400 nurses from more than 140 countries to become registered in the province. CARE Centre is a not-for-profit professional organization founded in 2001, with funding provided by the Ontario Government. Ontario receives support for some skills training programs from the Government of Canada. CARE Centre supports internationally educated nurses in updating their credentials and training to meet Ontario standards for Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses, obtain employment, advance in their careers, and contribute to health care excellence in Ontario. CARE Centre achieves these goals through case management support, nursing-specific language training, exam preparation, mentoring and networking, and recognizing the unique skills, education and experience of internationally educated nurses.
On this website, you will find a range of videos of some of our CARE Centre member IENs speaking in their home languages about their experiences coming to Canada to gain registration to practice as a nurse in Ontario, and how CARE Centre’s programs, services and IEN network supported them on their journey. To view the video in a language of your choice, simply click on the appropriate image at the left side of this screen. The videos are all housed on CARE Centre’s YouTube Channel, so we hope you will share them with IENs around the world if they are interested in joining our bridge training program.
