Corporate Overview

Since 2001, CARE Centre for Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) has supported over 1,500 IENs from over 140 countries to obtain their nursing registration in Ontario. But the regulatory environment has become increasingly complex, and many IENs are still thwarted in returning the the profession they love. With a predicted shortage of 60,000 nurses by 2022, CARE Centre continues to advocate for IENs’ full inclusion in Canadian healthcare. CARE Centre has partnered with the Conference Board of Canada to report solid return on investment results, and has also been profiled by the Conference Board for organizational excellence. But IENs need support from the wider community, now more than ever. CARE Centre welcomes partnerships with businesses, foundations, individuals and other donors who share our mission to increase IENs in the nursing workforce. CARE Centre can offer great opportunities to promote your brand, gain potential clients, and be recognized for supporting deserving New Canadian nurses.

We are proud to have partners from many sectors who participate in our events and charitable enterprises, such as our Joan Lesmond IEN of the Year Award and the annual Conference for IENs. We also work with media partners to cross-promote our message and yours. If you are doing business in Ontario or are able to give in other ways to support CARE Centre and the cause of IENs, contact us to find out how you can contribute.
