Benefits of Becoming a Member

As a CARE centre member, you have access to our Supports Training & Access to Regulated-employment Services (STARS) program. This program supports Internationally Educated Nurses who have decided to settle in the province of Ontario.

Membership Includes

• A one-year student membership to the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) or the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario (WeRPN)

• iCELBAN assessment

• 1 year subscription to CoursePark 

• Unlimited case management support


To join you must meet the following criteria:

Permanent Residents of Ontario, Canadian Citizens, Convention Refugees, and Refugee Claimants who are eligible to work in Ontario

Must have initiated an application with National Nursing Assessment Service (NNAS) or received a letter of assessment from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

• Institutional Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses (iCELBAN) Level 7 or higher


The one-time membership fee to join CARE Centre is $150. Extra course and material costs vary depending on your individual action plan.
Speak to a CARE Centre Case Manager about financial supports available to IENs.

Create a CARE Centre account . This step only requires a name, username and password to get started. 

Step 2:

Watch our online CARE information session. This video has valuable information related to your membership.

Step 3:

Complete and submit the registration form. Your application will be reviewed and a CARE staff member will contact you.
