CARE Centre-STARS

Become a Member

As a CARE centre member, you have access to our Supports Training & Access to Regulated-employment Services (STARS) program. This program supports Internationally Educated Nurses who have decided to settle in the province of Ontario.

Membership Includes:

◯ A dedicated Case Manager
◯ Language supports
◯ Exam preparation supports
◯ Settlement referral
◯ Observational job shadowing
◯ Employment supports
◯ Academic supports
◯ A one-year student membership to the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) or the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario (WeRPN)
◯ iCELBAN assessment
◯ 1 year subscription to CoursePark 
◯ Unlimited case management support
◯ Mentorship opportunities with expert nurses in practice settings

Membership Requirements:

◯ Permanent Residents of Ontario, Canadian Citizens, Convention Refugees, and Refugee Claimants who are eligible to work in Ontario
◯ IENs who have initiated an application with the National Nursing Assessment Service (NNAS) or received a letter of assessment from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
◯ IENs with proof of CLB 7 or higher, achievable through CARE Centre’s Language Assessment proces

Membership Fees:

There is a one-time, non-refundable membership fee of $150 to join CARE Centre.  Extra course and material costs vary depending on your individual action plan. Speak to a CARE Centre Case Manager about financial supports available to IENs.

Create a CARE Centre account . This step only requires a name, username and password to get started. 

Step 2:

Watch our online CARE information session. This video has valuable information related to your membership.

Step 3:

Complete and submit the registration form. Your application will be reviewed and a CARE staff member will contact you.
