Client Service Charter

Using our values Respectful, Collaborative, Compassionate, Accountable, Professional, Inclusive – as a framework, we are committed to providing exemplary service in all program areas to assist internationally educated nurses in entering the nursing profession in Ontario.  We value each of our clients and will strive to consistently meet the following standards.

CARE Centre Commits to:

  • creating a safe, inclusive environment; practicing sensitivity to all aspects of diversity; and treating everyone with dignity and respect
  • being responsible and accountable for the direction we provide
  • ensuring all services are fully accessible
  • responding to all telephone, email and social media inquiries in a timely manner
  • having a CARE Centre staff member contact you promptly after submitting a complete membership application
  • providing an alternate contact when your Case Manager/Instructor is on vacation or absent
  • upholding all legislative requirements related to confidentiality and the protection of personal information
  • ensuring our staff remains current on trends and developments in the regulatory, healthcare, immigration and settlement sectors
  • responding to complaints in a timely manner as outlined in CARE Centre’s Client Complaint procedure

CARE Centre asks clients to:

  •  treat others with courtesy and respect
  • honour the diversity of all staff and colleagues at CARE Centre
  • communicate clear expectations in seeking the service of CARE Centre
  • engage in the CARE Centre assessment process by identifying learning needs and career goals, providing all requested information, and reflecting on the agreed Service Plan to facilitate customized, consistent support
  • be open to learning from and sharing with others
  • be on time for appointments and classes; respond to phone or email messages promptly
  • comply with CARE Centre’s confidentiality and privacy policies
  • comply with CARE Centre’s eligibility requirements, and any future applicable changes
  • keep commitments and be attentive to meeting Canadian standards of practice

CARE Centre strives to increase client awareness of the organization’s Service Charter through continual engagement.

The Supports, Training, and Access to Regulated-employment Services program (STARS) is funded by the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development Ontario.
