Transition to Practice Course- Registration Open!

The College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) has announced that starting April 1, 2025, anyone applying to become an RN or RPN for the first time time in Ontario will be required to meet a Transition to Practice (TTP) requirement. This new requirement will help support nurses’ integration into the Ontario practice setting.

In response, CARE Centre for Internationally Educated Nurses is excited to announce a collaboration with Toronto Metropolitan University and the University of Toronto to develop and deliver the CNO approved Transition to Practice course. Successful completion of this course fulfills the CNO’s “Transition to Practice” registration requirement.

Developed in collaboration with the CARE Centre for Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs), this 10-week fully online course provides a comprehensive learning experience, combining foundational theory, assignments, and live online sessions led by instructors with nursing expertise and extensive experience teaching IENs. Each week, you will participate in a three-hour live synchronous session with your instructor and cohort to deepen your understanding of the readings and assignments.

All TTP instructors, with an in depth understanding of the challenges faced by IENs, are associated with the CARE Centre for Internationally Educated Nurses.
