AI for IENs in Canadian Nursing Practice
AI for IENs in Canadian Nursing Practice: A Foundational Session is designed to help internationally educated nurses (IENs) understand artificial intelligence (AI) and its emerging role in Canadian health care. The session will explore examples of how AI may appear in health care settings, while grounding safe and responsible practice in existing nursing standards, privacy laws, and clinical judgment. Participants will consider ways to strengthen critical thinking in a digital environment, protect patient safety and person-centred care, and build confidence and digital literacy as AI becomes more integrated into nursing practice in Canada.
