Employment Strategies for Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs)

This course is designed for CARE Centre members that they have made online submissions via our Canvas LMS by March 10th: uploading a resume and recording your response to an interview question. You will receive further instructions upon registration.

Resume & Cover Letter Preparation
The resume and cover letter is your way to introduce your qualifications and skills to employers. It is key to securing an interview (for employment, volunteer, SPEP placement, etc.) We will also review job postings and references.

DAY 2: Wednesday, March 19th, 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
How to Prepare for your Interview
Learn how to research companies, how to respond to interview questions, and how to present yourself confidently and successfully.

DAY 3: Wednesday,March 26th, 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Mock Interview
After this interview, you will get valuable feedback on your answers and be provided with other resources to enhance your success. Send in the job posting of your choice to use for this mock interview.
