Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Course

Designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment for professionals with a duty to respond. Teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

CERTIFICATE PROVIDED: 1-year certification in Basic Life Support from RED CROSS (digital certificate issued upon successful completion)

Facilitator: Amina Malik
Amina Malik is a Red Cross Instructor for first aid / CPR and BLS courses. She is a Masters prepared Registered Nurse by profession and is working as a Clinical Nurse Educator in one of the leading community hospitals in Toronto. She has been working in the profession for the last 24 years and brings with her extensive years of international experience and expertise in patient care management, nursing education and administration in hospital and community settings. Her area of work has been Medical/Surgical, Oncology, Palliative, and community Nursing. She has been a member of CARE since 2016.
